Dr. Anoop Bawa is a compassionate general and cosmetic dentist with over 25 years of experience across diverse dental specialties. She enjoys developing dental products, has taught dentistry, and has owned several successful private dental practices, including Bawa Dentistry in Manassas, VA.
Geography is no challenge to Dr. Bawa, who has practiced dentistry in New Jersey, Canada, and California. She attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada and was accepted to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a merit scholarship and began her dental school journey in 1992 at the early age of 20.
Upon graduation in 1996, Dr. Bawa, to better herself and to better serve her patients, went on to pursue post graduate education including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Invisalign, Neuromuscular Orthodontics and the Executive Management Program for Dentists at Kellogg School of Management.
Dr. Bawa has extensive experience running a dental practice that meets the needs of the community. She has successfully operated a private practice in Canada from 1999-2002, then moved to California’s Bay area in 2002. While in California, Dr. Bawa served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Management at the University of the Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry and along with her husband, Dr. Bobby Bawa, owned and operated two dental practices before moving to Virgnia to be closer to family.
Dr. Bawa’s passion for pushing the bounds of dentistry, to serve more patients, led her to inventing and developing dental products. Dr. Bawa has been awarded two U.S. Patents for her dental innovations and continues to work on other dental products that will help improve delivery of dental care thereby improving overall oral health. Dr. Bawa has also consistently been voted one of “America’s Top Dentists” by Consumers’ Research Council of America.
In her leisure time, Dr. Bawa enjoys the company of her husband, their two daughters and family and friends. She loves to cook, read non-fiction, travel and stay active.

Then she opened a Livermore, California private practice with her husband, Dr. Bobby Bawa, DDS in 2003. In 2006, they expanded with another office serving Antioch, California. In 2009, Dr. Bawa and her husband sold these practices and move to Virginia to be closer to family.
